Rannvijay remembers Jaya saying the same thing. Vaiju can’t wrap the plant but gives him some soil to take care of. Vasundhara mentions that all the women in the house are observing Durgaasthami fast.
Rannvijay tells Jaya not to fast, but she insists it’s to show her love. Vasundhara adds that this fast is important for both husband and wife and is hard to keep.
Vaiju looks at Rannvijay thoughtfully. Later, Vaiju sits in her room with her marriage symbols, deciding not to shirk her responsibilities. She chooses to keep the fast. Vasundhara asks why Vaiju is up so early. Vaiju lies, saying it’s due to the noise.

Vasundhara says they will eat food served by their husbands. Vaiju notices Ragini crying quietly and follows her. Vaiju asks if Ragini is okay. Ragini wonders whether she should keep the fast. Vaiju empathizes with the pain of being married but not living with her husband.
She says it’s Ragini’s choice whether to keep the fast. Sulekha advises Ragini to keep it, but Vaiju argues that Ragini should decide for herself. Vaiju believes that a forced relationship only leads to pain.
Sulekha criticizes Vaiju, questioning how she can understand the significance of the fast when her own relationships have failed. Rannvijay asks Sulekha to stop. Vasundhara supports Vaiju, telling Ragini to make her own decision. After everyone leaves, Vaiju goes to the kitchen and takes some leftover food touched by Rannvijay.

She thinks she may never hold the position of wife but must fulfill her responsibilities. She recalls Rannvijay’s recent care and eats the leftovers. The song “Tum hasi ban gye” plays as Vaiju eats and cries.
Rannvijay enters the kitchen and questions Vaiju about eating food from the fast. He asks why she ate Jaya’s leftovers. Vaiju tries to lie, but Rannvijay insists he knows she’s hiding something. Before he can ask more, Arhaan arrives to call them for aarti. Ragini asks Vaiju to stand by her side.
Rannvijay confronts Vaiju again, asking if she is fasting for him. Vaiju reminds him that she won’t demand anything from him but has the right to fulfill her responsibilities. Kaveri sees Rannvijay talking to someone and thinks it’s Jaya but finds her in the room. The episode ends with Kaveri trying to figure out who Rannvijay was speaking with.
