Haniya’s musical voyage began alongside her cousin, Zebunnisa Bangash. Together, they formed the iconic duo “Zeb & Haniya.” Their soulful blend of pop, folk, and Sufi music captured hearts. Their debut album, “Chup,” released in 2008, showcased their unique sound. Songs like “Paimona” and “Laili Jaan” became anthems, transcending borders.
Solo Pursuits and Canada
In 2014, Haniya embarked on a new chapter. She moved to Canada, seeking fresh horizons. There, she honed her skills as a solo artist, producer, and composer. Her music defied genres, seamlessly blending East and West. Her voice, hauntingly beautiful, carried emotions that touched souls.
Coke Studio and Collaborations
Haniya’s stint on Coke Studio added to her legacy. Her renditions of classics like “Bibi Sanam” and “Aitebaar” showcased her versatility. Collaborating with artists like Atif Aslam and Ali Zafar, she left an indelible mark. Her guitar strumming and soul-stirring vocals became synonymous with authenticity.

On August 11, 2024, tragedy struck. Haniya Aslam passed away due to a cardiac arrest. The music world mourned, but her legacy lives on. Her songs still echo in cafes, homes, and hearts. She remains an inspiration—a reminder that music transcends boundaries and connects humanity.
